Motoboost assists the cyclist while riding and levels the upper and lower blind spots while riding. At these two moments, energy is released. Thanks to motoboost, we reduce tension in muscles and joints. Ordinary cranking mechanisms do not have this capability.

Compact design, light weight and simplicity in operation, and less strain on muscles and joints.

Japanese investor FREEPOWER INNOVATIONS Co.,Ltd conducted the research in its own laboratory and also commissioned empirical studies at: Miyazaki University, International University of Health and Welfare and Kokushikan University. Miyazaki University presented the research results to the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers in 2023.

For the time being, a version of motoboost is available with a 44-tooth crank system. The disc is interchangeable, and the motoboost is compatible with pinions where the measured spacing between opposite bolts (BCD) is 110 mm, in an arrangement for: 4 bolts spaced symmetrically, 4 bolts asymmetrically or 5 bolts symmetrically. At the moment, Motoboost is offered with two types of silicone hardness to choose from: hard and soft.

For the amateur cyclist who enjoys long bike rides, who wants to ride in the most efficient way possible. With motoboost, the strain on your joints and muscles is reduced, so you can push your own limits without having to use an electric bike.

Motoboost is compatible with bikes equipped with a square bottom bracket. If your bike is equipped with a chain guard, you may need to remove it or use another one with the appropriate geometry.

Motoboost is compatible with 6-, 7-, and 8-row chains.

Yes, it is possible to mount a sprocket min. 34 T or larger, with a fixing screw spacing (BCD) of 110 mm fixed on 4 (symmetrical or asymmetrical) or 5 screws (symmetrical).

Currently, Motoboost is only available with a 170 mm crank length.

Currently, motoboost is only available in black.

The silicone used is resistant to weather conditions, and does not change its properties in the temperature range from -60 to 150°C.

The life of the gearbox is hundreds of thousands of kilometers. The service life of silicone rubbers is 20,000 km. It is recommended to perform regular maintenance of the mechanism body with dedicated grease and replace the silicone every 2-3 years.

Internal cleaning and lubrication every 6 - 12 months is recommended. More frequent cleaning and lubrication is recommended when driving in rough terrain and/or weather conditions.
